Changes to Pro Tools' plugin cache system have introduced instability. A user noted, "There have been lots of changes recently with plugin caches and it's concerning that I see Elastic Audio complaining about its cache problems in many log files". Even plugins not actively in use can cause errors because Pro Tools loads them and their associated caches on launch.

When you restart Pro Tools, it will create factory-fresh preferences. The AAE error 9416 will be gone, though you will have to re-setup your I/O settings and keyboard shortcuts.
