If you completely lose internet and the app blocks manufacturer-specific software, you can usually still access generic OBD2 diagnostics. Generic OBD2 protocols cover basic powertrain codes (P-codes), live oxygen sensor data, and readiness monitors required for emissions testing. This functionality is hardcoded into the app and requires minimal server communication.
