Use hidden_api_policy command (root/ADB). | | License invalid | Copy license file again → Set file permissions to 644 (root) or re-download from Diagzone. | | Bluetooth pairing fails | Go to Bluetooth settings → Forget device → Reboot → Pair again before opening X431. | | VCI disconnects | Turn off battery optimization for the X431 app (Settings > Apps > X431 > Battery > Unrestricted). | | No CAN communication | Update X-DIAG firmware via PC (using Launch firmware tool from MHH). |

Go to or Battery Optimization and change the setting from "Optimized" to Unrestricted . This prevents Android 14’s aggressive RAM management from killing the background Bluetooth socket during heavy data streaming.
