The story is a classic tale of divine intervention. Meena plays a dual role as and the neighboring deity Muthu Maariamman . The plot is set in motion when a village's powerful local bigwig brutally kills a devoted young woman named Chamundi (played by Devayani) on the eve of her wedding.
