Before she became the face of one of Italy's most famous calendars, Luisa Corna was already an established and versatile artist. Born in Palazzolo sull’Oglio (Brescia) on December 2, 1965, she began her career as a model in her teens, working with top photographers like Helmut Newton and Arthur Elgort and parading for fashion giants like Dolce & Gabbana and Missoni.
On the first day of shooting, the main dress—a backless, cobalt-blue gown—ripped along a side seam. While the seamstress performed a miracle with a needle and fishing wire, Luisa Corna improvised. The photos taken by assistant photographer Elena Ricci show Corna posing against an old, rusted gate wearing an oversized men’s white shirt and her own jeans.
When asked about her approach to her work, Luisa Corna emphasized the importance of staying curious and open-minded. "I have always believed that the key to success is to stay curious and keep learning," she said. "Whether I'm working on a new television project or collaborating with a young designer, I always try to approach each challenge with a sense of wonder and excitement."
