In the theatrical 4K release of Superman II (Lester cut), the grain structure is muddled. In the Donner Cut 4K, the grain is tight, organic, and cinematic. You can see the weave of the cape. You can see the actual paint on the miniature Metropolis sets. The "Brando compositing" issue from 2006?
