The sequel, Swapping Daughters: The Other Family , follows the other half of the swap. Maya Kendrick's character arrives in Canada, greeted by a seemingly wholesome, homespun couple played by and Mr. Pete. As the IMDb synopsis notes, "Unsubtle script and direction has many a too-obvious warning sign that Maya is in trouble". Despite their old-fashioned facades—saying grace before dinner and appearing almost Luddite—the family soon reveals their true nature. Maya's phone is taken away, and she is forced into becoming their sex slave, culminating in an elaborate foursome. The episode was later compiled on DVD as part of the Swapping Family release.
