Their big break came in 2008 when a major label, Sony Music, recognized their raw talent. They quickly released two EPs: Cientocero and their self-titled Supersubmarina (2009). This was just the beginning, as they soon made their mark on the national scene by supporting established acts like Vetusta Morla, Pereza, Lori Meyers, and Iván Ferreiro, quickly building a reputation for their electrifying live shows.
In 2016, Supersubmarina released their fourth studio album, "Olas Rojas", which marked a significant departure from their earlier work. The album featured a more mature and introspective sound, with lyrics that explored themes of love, loss, and social commentary. The album received rave reviews and solidified the band's position as one of the leading indie rock acts in Spain.
